Buah Pisang Kaki!

hehe.. td tertanya2 psal buah ni pastu ramai yg kasi respon! hehe... Persimmon atau dikenali Pisang kaki .. termenung jap, nape la aku xtau.. hehe... meh kita baca psal buah ni..

  • Origin: China or Japan
  • Varieties: Numerous, varying in size, shape and flavor, depending upon where they are grown.
  • Tree: height up to 6 m
  • Fruit: diameter: 6-12 cm
  • Season: October thru December, and most abundant during the month of November.

Persimmon is a deep orange, waxy fruit which is similar to a tomato in shape. This fruit gets its name from the Algonquin Indians who formerly lived along the St. Lawrence River of eastern Canada. Persimmon is native to China, and was introduced to Japan. The Japanese consider it their national fruit but it is more properly called Oriental rather than  Japanese persimmon, since it is not native to Japan. 



Persimmons which have dark-colored flesh are always sweet and non-astringent and should be eaten before they become too soft. Varieties with light-colored flesh have astringent taste until they soften. The astringent taste is due to the presence of a large amount of tannin, the same substance found in tea. As the fruit ripens and sweetens the tannin disappears. Ripening can take place just as well off the tree as on. It is advisable to remove the skin before eating the flesh which, too, is bright orange. The fruit has to be harvested with care, and not be allowed to ripen and fall from the tree, because this would bruise the very tender and soft fruit. The best way to remove the thin skin of this fruit is by placing it under running water while scraping off the skin.



Common Japanese Varieties found in the Market:


  • Hachiya is significantly larger (up to 3 inches in diameter) and heart-shaped. It is hard and bitter when unripe, but becomes soft, sweet, and juicy when ripe.
  • Fuyu is a smaller variety which looks like a tomato. It is smaller and is taste sweet without any bitterness and stays quite firm even when ripe.

Health Benefits of Persimmon:


  • It is use as a traditional Chinese remedy for hiccups. Take 9 grams of calyx of the persimmon fruit and 3 grams of fresh ginger. Add water and steam for a few minutes and eat.
  • Persimmon cake is also used as a traditional remedy for diarrhea, hemorrhoids, lung infections and asthma. To make persimmon cake: the fruit should be plucked when the skin starts turning yellow. Peel and discard the skin and place the fruit in the sun to dry, applying pressure frequently on each fruit to gradually flatten it. Continue drying the flattened fruit in the sun or in the open until a white frosting appears and covers the entire surface.
  • Astringent taste of persimmon can help stops diarrhea, reduces sweating, and slows or stops bleeding.
  • Persimmons can help prevent cancer because it is high in vitamin A.
  • It contain compounds known as shibuol and betulinic acid that are thought to have anti-cancer properties.
  • A study conducted in Japan showed that the peel of the persimmon contains phytochemicals known as proanthocyanidins which may protect cells against oxidative damage associated with aging.

slm di pg isnin.. Mmm.. sabtu lpas ade psr mlm area kami.. mcm biase, tugas ke pasar malam, hanyalah en.asben sorg.. aku dan anak2 tunggu dirumah.. tp bkn beli utk mkn mlm pn, sgala lauk pauk telah dimasak! hehe.. juz cari mknan ringan2 dan brgan basah  jerk.. blk je rumah, en.asben tunjuk satu plastik berisi buah warna kuning *ishh.. xpnah tgok!*..  dia ckp kt kg aku ade buah tu.. kakak aku pnah tunjuk kt dia.. eh, konfius btol.. nape aku xtau ni! hehe.. tp aku rase dia silap kot.. hehe.. dia ckp buah ni, masam2 manis.. aku test la satu, x msam pn! manis jerk.. isi dia mcm plak buah pear jerk aku rase.. huhu.. korg tau x buah ape ni?

bila mkn buah yg kuning tu ok jerk rasenyer.. tp bila mkn yg kuning nk ke'oren'an sket tu, mcm xleh telan la plak.. lembik sket mcm isi buah durian belanda, mngkin terlalu masak.... biji dia pn lebih kurang.. *mcm biji buah ciku pn ade*

kisah cuti deepavali

hehe.. baru rasa nak cerita tentang kisah cuti2 Malaysia kami sekeluarga.. hehe.. masa deepavali, kami dapat cuti yang agak panjang (4 ari jerk)..  Mak (perak) ajak gi bekelah kt Teluk Senangin, Lumut.. ayah ndak & anak2, ayah njang & anak2, mak ode sorg serta mak awe & anak2 pn join.. kiranya agak ramai la jugak..
Kami bermalam satu malam kt sana.. Kami ambik 5 challet.. ok la.. kiranya xde la mahal sgt.. mula2 ala2 nk berehat jer.. pastu ayh ndak kuar kn pancing dia.. apa lg.. asben pn kuarkn jugak pancing dia yg memang sedia ada dlm bonet keta tu.. hehe...

hasil pancingan yg pertama dan terakhir.. ~ngeee....


Sesampai jerk kt pantai.. kami terus kuarkan segala makanan yg dibawa dr rumah! mak masak gulai taucu ngan  pecal *aku xpnah mkn pn pecal ni.. coz dia sejenis sayur-sayuran! hehe..*. Mak Ode buat nasi lemak ngan sambal ikan bilis +jering. Mak Awe buat nasi goreng *pedas kaw kaw pnye* . Mak ndak ngan mak njang, bwk makanan ringan2... semua kelaparan sudah.. hehe.. lsung x hiraukan anak2.. *sebab papa ngan a'chik ade tolong tgok kn*.. tp bila pusing jerk tgok anak2, rupa2 nyer tgh main pasir.. dgn bajunyer yg xtukar, abis kena pasir.. huhu..

huhu.. dh x ingat mkn dh mereka ini... x sabar nk main air..


kali ni, ntah knape mls bebenor nk ambik gmbo2 sekeliling.. huhu.. maybe serik tepon rosak manjang kerjanyer.. akibat byk kali terjatuh dlm air.. hehe...   mlmnyer, kami ber BBQ..  best! smuanya segar2 belaka.. yg paling sedap ketam! huhu... owh, lupa.. kami beli segala sotong, udang, ketam, ikan yg segar2 dr nelayan yg baru naik pd waktu ptgnyer..

ok lah, itu saja ceritanyer.. hehe... meh layan video anak dara sronok main pasir pastu kejar2 ngan ombak kecik..

suka nye! TERHARU pn ade..

ptg smlm (08122010) jem teruk.. aku kuar opis jam 5.45pm tp dlm jam 6.30pm aku rase baru dlm 500 meter bergerak.. perghh.. sesambil dgar hotfm, tetiba terpandang kt depan.. BERASAP! ape lg.. mggelabah la aku! nk meletop ke keta ni.. mcm2 pk.. muahaha.. trus kasi signal.. msuk ke kiri.. sib baik, dpan tu ade ruang benti.. xde la kacau jln nnt btambah jem jln yg sememangnya tgh jem tu..

trus tepon en.asben, dia ckp relax dulu kt tepi.. mayb air kering! hahaha... *naik keta xpnah nk check.. itu lah padahnye* mula, en.asben suh tgu keta sejuk dulu.. then aku kena check or tambah air.. aku ckp ok! nnt agak2 dh sejuk, aku buat la.. aku kuar, bukak bonet tu.. kot leh cpat kn proses penyejukkan keta tu.. ekeke.. tetiba en.asben call.. dia ckp, xyah buat ape2.. nnt dia dtg! siap pesan.. duk jerk dlm keta.. xyah kuar kunun2 nk bukak bonet.. ahahaha.. aku kuar blk ttup bonet! *aku paham, dia risau.. org skang xleh nk pcaya sgt! mcm2 ade.. kot2 ade yg nk ambik kesempatan kunun2 nk tlong.. huhu..*

yg aku terharunya.. dia sgup dtg, redah jln jem.. wlpun naik motor... lg satu.. kn smlm hujan.. dia redah jugak hujan2 tu nk dtg sbb risaukn aku.. huhu... basah kuyup dia smlm.. padahal dia dtg, xde la watpe pn.. juz tmbh air jerk.. *yg spatutnya aku buat sdiri jer* alahmdulillah.. xde kerosakan lain.. huhu.. lenkali, aku kena slalu check la.. xnk la mnyusahkan en.asben lg.. huhu..

kenangan oh kenangan..

semalam (ahad 05122010) tgh sibuk buat kijer.. sibuk sgt.. dh 3-4 mlm aku hanya tdo 4-5 jam shj.. kije tu nk submit pg td (06122010).. penat.. ngantuk.. letih.. sume ade..  dlm kul 8.00 pg ahad.. aku smbg kije.. lpas penat menahan mata kul 6.30 pg, kuat kn smgat.. kena siap kn jugak kije tu.. huhu.. tetiba..........

kluar lagu tu.. lagu yg ckup membuat aku kecewa..  aku buat kije smbil menangis.. smpai teresak2.. aku baru sedar.. sungguh aku x bleh nk lupakan nya! aku tau.. aku kena lupakan 'mereka' untuk anak2.. aku kena lupakan untuk bahagia bersama... ternyata, smpai saat ni, masih ade sisa2 itu..

aku cuba.. lawan! aku x nk ingat.. sungguh menyakit kan... aku merana.. aku tersiksa..... *wahhh.. gitu..*



aku harap.. masing2 punya kehidupan sendiri.. aku x mampu untuk berkata-kata.. sebab aku tau, aku juga punya kelemahan dan kekurangan.. semoga segalanya memberi sinar.. memberi kebahagian.. untuk dia dan.. untuk mereka juga.. semoga segalanya memberi kebaikan bersama.. untuk anak2 aku juga.. aminn...

tgh sibuk buat kije tu, rehat sebentar! masakan utk mkn tgh ari tetap di utamakan.. masak buat suami ngan anak2.. hapuskan airmata! heh.. buang jauh2 prsaan itu.. supaya msakan tidak masin! hehe... simple juga.. juz goreng lala with serai (xtau name msakan itu) dengan sayur sawi goreng saje.. xpe la.. sala kenyang!
